- MISSION:
Manage the development of the Electric / Electronic (E/E) components (ECU, sensor, harness, actuator…) from specification to design, development and validation.
Lead technically the E/E component supplier
Coordinate activities / Project advancements of Electronic group
- MAIN ACTIVITIES:
Ensure technical exchanges with the customer for all E/E activities on his project.
Based on the system specifications, define the E/E architecture and specifications (hardware and mechanics), taking into account traceability, configuration and calibration.
Write the hardware specifications for the E/E component, ensuring traceability and measurable items to be used for the validation.
Identify Safety requirements and items on the E/E specifications and make them validated by the Safety Engineer.
Share and update the E/E specifications including Safety items with the component supplier.
For software, support the Software Engineer to write the software specifications.
Send E/E Component Technical Specifications to suppliers for quotation, make a compliance chart and suggest a list of potential suppliers to be used on the project
After supplier nomination, lead the supplier (with the support of the purchasing engineer) and check / validate its deliverables (hardware architecture, electronic design, PCB layout, choice of components taking into account obsolescence and automotive certification, EMC tests, compatibility with production on-line tests…)
Set-up with the supplier the spec and design reviews, implementations, DFMEA, defaults and the list of deviations requested and agreed.
Check and validates the validations made at the supplier
Make the documentation related to the development (reports, meeting minutes…) and to the use of the E/E component.
Based on the validation & verification test results, update the design of the E/E component with the supplier to tune
Participate to E/E supplier audits with Supplier Quality Dept.
- Competences requirements:
Automotive industry, V-Cycle development, System Engineering, Agile
Electronic Engineer or with similar experience
Project management and supplier technical management
Specifications, design and validation of ECUs and electric / electronic systems in automotive industry
Experience on functional safety (ISO 26262)
Management of electronic suppliers (EMS) during design and validation phase
Experience on CAN, LIN, microcontrollers, EMC shielding, electric motors, LED drivers, sensors and actuators
Knowledge on numerical components (ASIC, FPGA)
Knowledge in P-Spice, A-Spice
English, French, German appreciated
- Tools:
Requirement and traceability tools: IBM Doors, RTC, Polarion…
Electronic design software: OrCAD or equivalent
Development tools: Matlab, Simulink
Vector tools : CANoe, CANape
MS office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
